DA seeks higher corn import limit as El Niño threatens supply

The Department of Agriculture (DA) is pushing to expand the country"s minimum access volume (MAV) for corn to 500,000 metric tons (MT) to help cushion hog and poultry producers from potentially higher feed costs amid the threat of El Niño.
