Local Breast Cancer Survivor Applauds H. Jack’s Plumbing & Heating Partnership

Since announcing its second annual partnership with Susan G. Koman Northeast Ohio, H. Jack's Plumbing and Heating Co's October promotion has hit home for one breast cancer survivor from the Greater Cleveland area.

NOVEMBER 6, 2017 – CLEVELAND, OHIO – Since announcing its second annual partnership with Susan G. Koman Northeast Ohio, H. Jack’s Plumbing and Heating Co’s October promotion has hit home for one breast cancer survivor from the Greater Cleveland area. In a recently released video, Laura Allio reveals her story and why H. Jack’s commitment to breast cancer awareness resonates so deeply with her family and thousands of others in Northeast Ohio.

Laura, who lives in Copley, Ohio with her husband, Michael, and 1 year old son, James, was diagnosed with triple negative Stage 2B breast cancer on April 10th, 2017. “I had been breast feeding my son, and I kept feeling this mass,” she shared in the video. “I went and got an ultrasound, a mammogram, and biopsy all in one day. I was biopsied on a Friday, and I found out that Monday that it had come back as positive both in my one lymph node as well as in my breast. And then came the onslaught of appointment, after appointment, after appointment… It was very overwhelming.”

Since her diagnosis, Laura has been a passionate advocate for breast health, and praises Susan G. Komen and H. Jack’s for their contributions to support those affected by breast cancer in their community. “Susan G. Komen is amazing… [They provide] funding for people that may not otherwise get mammograms or get ultrasounds to get tested. H. Jack’s… by supporting an organization like Komen, it really is supporting a lot of people in Northeast Ohio.”

President John Langer announced the H. Jack’s “Works Hard for A Cure” campaign earlier this month via Facebook, stating that a portion of every service conducted during the month of October would go toward fighting breast cancer. Because 75% of the proceeds of the Northeast Ohio division of Susan G. Komen go to local programs, most of the contributions from H. Jack’s will benefit women right here in the Greater Cleveland area. For Laura, the support speaks volumes: “I want to be doing business with people that are truly good, that truly are helping out the community and who are trying to make a difference and are authentic about it, and H. Jack’s is.”

Thanks to H. Jack’s, each service conducted in October will help make a difference in the battle to end breast cancer. “Obviously, you can get your service anytime, [but] now is a better time than any,” beamed Laura.
