Delaware Adoptions From The Heart Hold Free Webinar About Domestic Adoption

Prospective parents in Delaware who are interested in learning more about domestic adoption are invited to attend a free online webinar hosted by Adoptions From The Heart.

Over the past few decades, the myth that it is incredibly difficult to adopt a child in the United States has been perpetuated. But this couldn’t be further from the truth. Every year, 18,000 infants are adopted in the U.S. and many of those adoptions take place in the state of Delaware.

Adoptions from the Heart is a non-profit adoption agency that has been working hard to dispel the myth that international adoption is fast and less expensive. For example, did you know that once a prospective family has been approved, nearly 50% of them are matched with a child within 6 months and that most matches occur in less than a year? While a certain degree of openness is expected, this typically means that the prospective parents will meet with the birth mother a few times prior to the adoption.

At Adoptions from the Heart, the agency focuses on supporting all three groups of the adoption “triad”. This includes pregnant women, prospective parents, and the children.

Pregnant women can obtain assistance with getting the medical care they need for both mother and child, get legal help, get supportive counseling.  and review prospective parents portfolios. Prospective parents can get assistance with home studies, learn about sources of financial aid, and join support groups.

On Tuesday, September 5th, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. an online webinar will be hosted by Adoptions from the Heart which has an office located in Wilmington, Delaware. During the webinar, the benefits of domestic adoption and the adoption process will be discussed and a social worker will be available to answer any questions that attendees may have. Registration is required and attendees are invited to register on the website.
